The boat can be controlled easily and is driven by a virtually silent electric motor. A roadmap of Giethoorn and surroundings you will be given, so the way you always find yourself. Our whisper boats takes up 6 to 8 people and an additional charge for some 10 people. Ideal to rent an electric boat for a day with a family. Cruise through the village, visit a museum or put on to the islet 's Wiedemann to swim. You can whisper boat per hour, but also rent for the whole day. Then a wonderful trip to the Beulakerwijde or Weerribben worthwhile. Take a picnic basket or bowl afterwards on our beautiful terrace drinking a cup of coffee and discover the tranquility of our village. Would definitely recommend this . The initial 15 mins or so of driving the boat yourself was pretty scary, to be honest . Bumping into other boats, turning the wrong way etc. But once you get a hang of it, it's nice . Make sure you drive a little beyond board no 5 (where you're supposed to make a U turn and return to base ) and enjoy a moment in the middle of the huge lake in a small whisper boat . Though a bit apprehensive initially, we all including the kids really enjoyed it .
