MV Karin is a 24 metres live-aboard charter vessel with 7 twin berth cabins (all with full size mattresses), all beds are 2 metres long. Two roomy walk in showers and toilets. It’s also centrally heated so you can relax while we take you to some of the most remote places in Orkney. Two high observation platforms are available for viewing Orkney’s spectacular wildlife if you don’t fancy diving that day. A large heated day room and galley complete the deal, with a TV and hard drive with hundreds of hours of entertainment on it if required, no TV signal needed. Safe entry and exit are guaranteed with our protected walkway, no slippery steep harbour ladders for Karin divers. Staying on board means having the freedom of movement to stay at different ports around Scapa Flow each evening, it also gives us the opportunity to travel to less dived areas like the Stack etc that is 35 miles to the west of the islands, at least one wreck lies here. I am an IANTD Trimix Nitrox Instructor on both OC and CCR, I also holds a HSE Commercial Diving Ticket and a DTI Approved Skippers Ticket. With over twenty five years’ experience both skippering and diving, I am one of the most experienced and highly qualified skipper working in Scapa Flow. I was one of the first skippers to offer dive charters in the area and has progressively moved on to larger, better equipped boats. I took part in Project Britannic in Greece in November 1997 and has lead several expeditions since, including HMS Repulse and Prince of Wales and recently to the Java Sea to dive the lost cruisers of the battle of the Java Sea of 1942. - John
